Alright... seems alot of people have totally messed up their second city...

The Biggest problem being bringing too many troops and getting hosed on the upkeep.

BEFORE sending your troops.
You should plan out what you want your City to be BEFORE setting out. There are several examples for different types of cities in this section of the forums so check them out and decide before heading out. It will also help to calculate what resources you'll need so you can bring some of them along. You'll also want to bring extra food so your troops don't run away that first night

Your Hero will automatically be set as the Castillian so plan accordingly, you'll want a hero that has high Politics and good enough at the rest so you don't have to worry about building a Hero Lounge till much later.

Just after clicking "Build City".
You will not be able to send your troops anywhere until you build a Rally Point. so that should be your first priority, and then DISPATCH all your troops back to your other city as soon as you can... Seriously don't worry about defense right now. There are TONS of easy targets out there that are worth more.

The second item on your first que should be a Cottage. You get 100 jobs for each resource thanks to the Government building, but noone is working them until you get some citizens. The rate at which you gain population is determined by your max population... so the more cottages, the faster you fill up those jobs.

You'll gain 0.005*(MaxPop)*(1-tax%) citizens every 6 minutes.
(For those that are not that good at math.. put a decimal at the front of your tax to use it as a percentage... so 30% tax would be 0.30 in the equation... and 5% would be 0.05)

Building Que.

1. Rally Point - 1300 Lumber/ 4105 Stone
2-10+. Cottages - 100 Food/ 500 Lumber/ 125 Stone/ 100 Iron (Each)
3. Upgrade Cottages to lvl 2 - 210 Food/ 1040 Lumber/ 260 Stone/ 210 Iron (Each)
4. Build atleast4 Farms & atleast 1 of every other Rural building
5. Upgrade Government to lvl 2.
6. upgrade Rural buildings.

At some point you'll need to build a Foundry & Armory in order to build the Wall... and possibly some more Quarries. but you can always tear them down when you have your Wall to the level you want it... I'd reccomend building your Wall to atleast lvl 7

well... I just got declared war on so I'll have to finish this later... but ite pretty complete... from here you'll need to just complete whatever city type you've chosen...
